So I have finally made the transition from my beloved Community Starter Kit to the almost newest version of DNN. I've decided not to migrate old users to the new site because of various reason, email's out of date, forgotten passwords to name a few. So if you were on the old site please fill free to sign into the new site. If you where not on the old site, please fill free to sign into the new site.
The old site... I'm am the first to admit that I have become a reluctant Luddite over there years. After finding something meets the requirement for the job I tend to ride it as long as possible. Unfortunately, with security concerns and dealing with some script-bots that have been set up to register and spam the site; the transition has become necessary. Besides, after going half a decade with the site under CSK it is time to do a little spring cleaning on the content of the site anyway. Good by disco links, and cb-radio call sign generator.  For the most part the site looks the same, as I spent an evening converting the skin over to DNN. Not much hassle there but it was a little more "tweaking" then redesign. Ever occur to you that CSS can be a real pain in the ass and while you are starring right at the thing you want to style-lize it would be very convenient to just put the style RIGHT THERE? Yea, me too.

About to get into the Windows Server 2008 thing and playing with DNN 4.08.1 and 5 (when it comes) under VS 2008, fun, fun. Expect to see some rants about that.

BayCoPort project is going well; well meaning that I am not hunting down unexpected bugs in hardware and software, though I have a drive in the system that is getting long in the tooth and likes the kick up its heals now and then. Took me a day to straiten it out after getting out of the hospital.

Hospital... Not as much fun as you might expect. Had my first mortal moment a couple of weeks ago. I'll have to drop a line or two about that as well. Until then a word of advice, step away from the keyboard and enjoy another year's spring.

L8r,
